Historical Analysis

Section Title

Catholic Women of the Mexican Revolution

This paper was written for my History of the Mexican Revolution course and centers on a primary-source-driven research question: whether the Mexican Revolution was truly “revolutionary” for Catholic women.

The project required extensive engagement with historical documents, many of which were in Spanish, and challenged me to synthesize diverse perspectives into a cohesive argument. In this piece, I focused on developing my research, analytical, and translation skills, particularly in navigating and interpreting primary sources across languages.

As you read, I encourage you to pay close attention to page two, where I directly engage with the central question and focus on where my thesis fits into the larger historiographical conversation. This work reflects my ability to conduct nuanced historical analysis and construct arguments grounded in complex, multilingual sources.
